Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Aston Villa want to sign Leon Bailey.

On Wednesday, both Villa and Liverpool were linked with two ball-carrying wingers in Bailey and Bowen, respectively.

Given that the Bayer Leverkusen superstar is seemingly available for around £30 million, Liverpool supporters were questioning why they weren’t pushing for his talents rather than Bowen’s.

Villa have already broken their club transfer record by signing the technically-gifted, Emi Buendia this summer.

But it doesn’t seem as though those in the Villa Park boardroom are going to stop there.

The Midlands side links with Bailey have impressed Liverpool fans because they understand the dangers he can provide the opposition.

A rising star, Bailey has the flair, speed and goalscoring ability from out wide to put supporters on their feet and opposition defenders on their backside.

If Villa can land his talents then they are going to bolster quite the forward line heading into the new Premier League season.

It says something as to where Dean Smith’s side are heading when opposition fans are left stunned by their potential transfer business.

Keep hold of Jack Grealish, and there is no reason why they shouldn’t, then Villa have to be dreaming of Europe next season.

Here is a selection of Liverpool fans reacting to those Villa and Bailey rumours:
