On a day where the football won't be centre of attention, Liverpool take on Wolves in the final Premier League game of the season.

With a third-place finish guaranteed, all attention later today will be on Jurgen Klopp rather than the full-time result, with the German boss taking charge of his final game as Liverpool manager.

The clash with Wolves will close the curtains on his almost nine-year tenure as the Reds' manager, while there will also be send-offs for Thiago and Joel Matip as the duo depart following the end of their contracts.

Liverpool enter the clash on the back of a 3-3 draw away to Aston Villa, with Unai Emery's side joining the Reds, Arsenal, and Manchester City in next season's Champions League.

The last meeting between Liverpool and Wolves saw the Reds win 3-1, with a late Andrew Robertson strike and a Hugo Bueno own goal securing the victory.

We predict that Liverpool could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Quansah, Robertson; Endo, Elliott, Mac Allister; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.

We predict that Wolves could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Sa; Bueno, Kilman, Toti; Semedo, Gomes, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Hwang, Sarabia; Cunha.

Klopp's farewell almost got off to the perfect start at Anfield when Luis Diaz latched onto Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross to go one-on-one with the 'keeper three minutes in, but the Colombian could only strike the ball at the legs of the 'keeper as the chance went begging.

Jarell Quansah's header from the resulting cross rebounded off a defender's body and back to his feet, and on the second attempt the youngster fired home to put Liverpool one goal ahead.

Liverpool came close once again in the final few minutes when Salah was sent through on goal by Alexis Mac Allister, but the winger opted to pass to Gakpo rather than shoot himself, allowing the Wolves defenders to get back and kill any attacking momentum the Reds had

Nevertheless, Liverpool managed to hold out for the three points and a clean sheet, giving Klopp a great send-off in his final game.
