Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to shower Harvey Elliott with praise, after the Liverpool wonderkid reached out to Pascal Struijk.

• Report: Klopp likely to hand Liverpool man his 1st Premier League game away from Anfield • Photo: How Ibrahima Konate reacted to Harvey Elliott's injury in Liverpool 3-0 Leeds Harvey Elliott looking out for Pascal Struijk As we saw when Heung-min Son burst into tears after causing serious injury to Andre Gomes, players can often suffer from inflicting injury on others.

Well, you will already know that Elliott suffered a serious injury following a challenge from Struijk during Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leeds on Sunday.

Unfortunately for them, the Premier League have rejected the appeal, meaning Struijk will now miss three games.

In admirable fashion, Elliott sent the centre-back a message after the announcement, informing him that he feels the Premier League got this one wrong.

Hopefully, Elliott gets back on the pitch as soon as possible, and can pick up right from where he left off for the Reds.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side felt the Dutchman did nothing wrong, and appealed his red card.
