Liverpool have been linked with several players this summer despite signing six new players already ahead of next season.
Arne Slot’s side won the Premier League crown by a 10-point margin, however, they fell short in the FA Cup, Champions League, and Carabao Cup, losing to Newcastle United in the final.
The Premier League champions have not held back in splashing out the cash on improving their squad as they look to compete on all fronts.
Jeremie Frimping, Florian Wirtz, and Milos Kerkez have all been brought in to strengthen a few positions, while Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Freddie Woodman have also moved to Anfield.
The Reds have shown no sign of slowing down anytime soon, with Alexander Isak and Rodrygo still heavily linked and others facing uncertain futures.
One player who was previously linked with Liverpool was Senegal international El Hadji Malick Diouf.
The Reds were closely monitoring Diouf ahead of a possible move, having played a key role in Slavia Prague’s dominant Czech First League title win last season.
The 20-year-old earlier broke his silence on the links to Anfield, claiming he is not rushing to decide his future.
West Ham United have now confirmed the signing of Diouf on a long-term deal.
Last term, the versatile defender featured in all four UEFA Champions League qualifiers and eight Europa League group-stage ties and scoring seven goals as Slavia dominated the First League.
After putting pen to paper, he said: “I’m really happy to be here and to make a progression for my career.
I’m looking forward to working hard and joining my new team-mates.
“There were a lot of teams [who wanted to sign me], but I chose West Ham United first and I spoke with the coach [Graham Potter] and it was a good plan for me.
“Everyone wants to come here to play in the Premier League.
When they are here, they want to make everything good.
I think they also have the personality to play here and if you are young, you want to continue your progression.
“If you are young, you have to keep your personality. It’s about the team. The most important thing is the team, not the player.
I want to say to the West Ham supporters I’m very happy to be here with them?
I think we’ll make a very good season this year.”
