Liverpool continue to be linked with an interest in Alexander Isak despite already spending £100m - plus £16m in add-ons - on Florian Wirtz.

When Wirtz’s signing is officially confirmed by the club, it will break Liverpool’s record for their most expensive transfer.

It’s just full focus on playing for me.

“It’s been written how much I love the city and the club, how well I feel there.

That’s where my focus lies.

“There is no reason for me to think about anything else (other than Newcastle).

The only focus I have is on playing.”

Speaking to before the Carabao Cup final in March, Isak also said: "I think this club can achieve great things.

I've said many times doing a season I just focus on the job, now is probably the worst time to think about anything else.

"All of our focus is just on Sunday, doing good and hopefully bringing the trophy back to Newcastle."
