Federico Chiesa continues to be the subject of transfer speculation.
Long before the season concluded, the Italy international had been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer.
Two goals and two assists were the product of 14 appearances in all competitions for the Reds last season.
Specifically looking at the Premier League, Chiesa's first start only came in the trip to Brighton last month - weeks after the title was wrapped up - and five more outings as a substitute were just about enough to earn a winners' medal.
Whereas some players need to use the summer to rest and recuperate, Chiesa is actively training to be in the best physical shape possible.

His brother, Lorenzo, who is on the books at Serie B side Sampdoria, shared a picture to Instagram of the duo on an astroturf pitch preparing for the 2025/26 campaign.

Speaking to Italian publication in La Gazetta dello Sport earlier this month, the Reds' No.14 had said: "My family, my agent and I have a great relationship with Liverpool, and the goal is to be ready for the pre-season.
We’ll find the best solution for everyone.
"I work every day with a Liverpool programme to be in top shape for the tests on July 8.
"While out of the squad [at Juventus], I was able to train in great condition, but I missed playing friendlies.
I had to start from scratch at Liverpool and that held me back."
