Liverpool are intent on adding two big players to their squad before Monday’s transfer deadline.
The Reds have bought quality and quantity this summer, bringing in five important first team players.

But having also sold plenty as well, Liverpool need to do more to stop themselves from being left short.
Centre-back and centre-forward are the areas of focus, with Marc Guehi and Alexander Isak the key targets.
If it is not Guehi and Isak, it is likely to be nobody.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano offered a Sunday update on Isak, and Liverpool are seemingly still confident of getting their new No.
9.
And the transfer expert also weighed in on the situation regarding Guehi, proclaiming that there’s now only one thing which can stop the England international from joining the Reds.

Liverpool sent a £35m bid for Guehi on Saturday evening, with Palace reportedly coming back with a request of £35m plus £5m in add-ons.
As of yet, there has been no word on Liverpool’s response.
However, speaking to his YouTube channel late on Saturday night, Romano says the money involved will be no problem at all.

“The bid is there for Marc Guehi, £35m plus 10 per cent sell-on clause,” he says.
The contract is ready, the player is ready to travel and sign.”
Although that all sounds positive for Liverpool, Romano goes on to say that despite the likely agreement, the deal could still collapse if Palace do not find a suitable replacement for their captain.
If Palace call, the deal will get done immediately.”
When he spoke to the press on Friday, Oliver Glasner appeared to rule out Guehi’s exit, citing the difficulty of finding a player to replace him.
While that did not sound good from a Liverpool point of view, it does appear absolutely crucial that Palace find a new centre-back.
Amid all of this, the Eagles, like Liverpool, are due to play on Sunday, facing Aston Villa in the day’s late kick-off.
As per a report from The Times on Saturday, Guehi is currently ‘scheduled to be involved.’ Should the 25-year-old fail to report for the game, it will be a sure sign that Liverpool are going to get their man.
It is now crunch time for Guehi, Isak and Liverpool.
