Everton defender Conor Coady has explained how Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is looking after a major Liverpool transfer target like ‘there’s no tomorrow’ in the England camp.
Recounting a recent tale from within the camp at the World Cup, Coady told England's YouTube channel: "[Henderson] looks after Jude [Bellingham] like there is no tomorrow.
"We are talking about Jude Bellingham here.
The player in question is Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham and Coady says the pair have struck up quite the bond.
Bellingham, of course, is a player that the Reds are looking at for a 2023 move to Liverpool, as Jürgen Klopp looks to reshape his ageing midfield.
Henderson, meanwhile, actually replaced Bellingham for the final 20 minutes of the game against Wales.
Should Bellingham make the move to Liverpool next summer, Henderson could be doing a lot more looking after the teenager than just this month-long sojourn in Qatar.
