Liverpool are open to selling some key players this summer but only if big offers come in.
The Reds have turned their attention to selling players after a flurry of incomings earlier in the window, and Luis Diaz is one player very likely to depart.
Barcelona are interested but had an approach swiftly knocked back earlier in the window, with the Spanish club unsure whether to make a move.
However, Bayern Munich clearly thought there was an opportunity and they were the ones who made the first bid, although Liverpool have immediately rejected their £58.5m offer as it falls far short of their valuation.
There is also another reason why the Reds have decided to rebuff their approach, and it is safe to say the Bundesliga champions have made a mistake earlier in the window.

Liverpool and Bayern have not been on the best of terms this summer after the Reds signed Florian Wirtz from under their noses, with the German outfit rather bitter after missing out on his signature.
Reports suggested that Vincent Kompany’s side were willing to spend big on the 22-year-old, but Wirtz only wanted to join Liverpool.
However, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that this may have actually impacted Bayern’s chances of signing Diaz, with the Merseyside club knowing that they have the money to meet their £87m valuation.

“It has not gone unnoticed at Liverpool that Bayern had €100m+ for now LFC player Florian Wirtz, and have need to strengthen further having lost Jamal Musiala to injury,” Jacobs wrote on his X account.

He also confirmed that Liverpool still do not want to lose Diaz despite the player keen on a move, and that their position will only change if the money is too good to turn down.
Diaz also has interest from Saudi Arabia in the form of Al Nassr, and with Bruno Fernandes previously being valued at £87m from Saudi dealmakers in the past, Liverpool can expect that kind of money for Diaz given that he is two years younger.
Liverpool’s stance on Diaz is a strange one as, in the past, they would usually let a player leave if they showed signs they wanted out, but this is not the case with the Colombian.
They seem adamant that he is part of their plans next season and are unwilling to let him go for cheap, which can mean one of two things.
Either Diaz is happy to stick around a little while longer at Anfield despite rumours suggesting otherwise, or they are very sure that someone will pay their asking price.
The Reds were keen to offer him a new contract but that seems unlikely at this stage, meaning that this could be a saga that drags on and maybe even turns sour later down the line.
