Trent Alexander-Arnold was given a mixed reaction by Liverpool supporters at Anfield as his name was read out as part of the substitutes bench for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday.
The vice-captain, as Arne Slot confirmed on Friday, is not starting the game, with Conor Bradley instead entrusted on the right side of the defence for the clash with the Gunners.
And as LFCTV's Peter McDowall, who introduced the team as 'Premier League champions Liverpool', read out the names of the substitutes for the game, Trent Alexander-Arnold was reserved an indifferent response, with some cheers mixed in with a smattering of boos.
As is tradition, supporters cheer after the name of every player involved on the day is read out and the academy graduate was not overwhelmingly celebrated by fans as they gave him their first public reaction to his end-of-season departure.

Earlier in the day, there had at least been no discernible signs of unhappiness from the Reds supporters toward West Derby-born Alexander-Arnold as he emerged from the players' tunnel to undergo his pre-match warm-up routines with his colleagues.
With two more games to come after Sunday's, starting with Brighton & Hove Albion next Monday before the Premier League trophy is lifted after the visit from Crystal Palace on May 25, Bradley is slated to continue at right-back for the remainder of the season.

Slot said the Northern Ireland international would have started at Chelsea last week had it not been for a minor fitness issue, with the Dutch coach now looking firmly to the future at Anfield without Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold told Slot in March that he had made a decision on his future and would be leaving when his contract expires at the end of June.
The news became public on May Bank Holiday Monday with a social media video of the England international explaining the decision by claiming it was the most difficult one of his life.

Real Madrid reached out to Liverpool to see if there was a possibility of bringing him to the Spanish capital before his terms officially expire, with the La Liga holders wanting the right-back to form part of their Club World Cup squad in the United States next month.
It's unclear, at this stage, if Liverpool are open to receiving a nominal fee for Alexander-Arnold and removing a player who is set to leave as a free agent off their wage bill sooner than initially thought.
