Liverpool’s signing of Milos Kerkez is moving closer as the Reds’ encouraging start to the summer window continues.

After announcing the signings of Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi, Florian Wirtz’s arrival is expected soon, with reports claiming he is set to complete his medical on Thursday and Friday.

Kerkez will follow the German through the door at the AXA Training Centre, becoming the fourth summer signing.



Kerkez is expected to be Liverpool's next left-back.

His indiscreet approach to transfer negotiations was echoed by the player’s brother, Markos, who wrote on Instagram: “Milos Kerkez, soon to be a new Liverpool player.”

It comes amid an update from Fabrizio Romano, who stated that “some technical things” are holding up the transfer.

“Kerkez will play for Liverpool,” he explained on his YouTube channel.

It’s not a big issue or problem; there are just technical steps to take, and then Milos Kerkez will sign his contract and become a Liverpool player.

Meanwhile, Kerkez is among six nominees for the annual PFA Young Player of the Season award

He is up against former teammate Dean Huijsen, plus new Chelsea signing Liam Delap.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is a candidate, as are Arsenal duo Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwanieri.

Kerkez started all 38 games for Bournemouth this season, helping them to a ninth-place finish in the Premier League
