Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi could face a big decision over his future this summer amid continued links to a number of big clubs, including Liverpool.

According to Bild, Bayern have even held talks with the 44-year-old.

Barcelona is also thought to be monitoring the Brighton boss with Xavi set to depart in the summer, while ESPN claims he is an option for Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag facing an uncertain future.

Liverpool will get a closer look at De Zerbi when his Brighton side travel to Anfield on Sunday.

He is yet to taste defeat in any of his four matches against the Reds since taking over.

De Zerbi is currently contracted at Brighton until 2026 yet admitted in February that he was flattered by the links to a number of top jobs.

I would like in my career to compete to win the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, Champions League but there isn't a time when you have to go and compete, or to wait some more time."

De Zerbi issued an update on his future earlier this month amid fresh links to Liverpool, saying per The Mirror: "I have only Brighton in my head.

My focus is on Brighton — 100 per cent."

It has since been reported that Brighton fear De Zerbi will walk away this summer.

He is said to have a release clause of $14m (£11m/€13m).

Napoli is also set to be on the lookout for a new manager this summer and the Serie A side could move for De Zerbi, who spent four years there as a player.
