Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers shared a reaction on social media following a teammate’s performance after he scored yet again on international duty.
Rogers has been crucial to Unai Emery’s side ever since his arrival back in January 2024, establishing himself as a regular in the first team.
However, Aston Villa have had a poor start to the season, with Emery’s team failing to score or win any of the first three games of the season.
While Football Insider revealed Tottenham had an interest in Rogers in the summer window, the club stood firm and ensured the Englishman remained at the club.
Now, the international break may have come at the right time for Villa and their players, as one player has performed brilliantly while away and caught the attention of Rogers.

Matty Cash scored a brilliant goal against the Netherlands in Poland’s first game of the international break, and followed it up at the weekend with another strike in a 3-1 victory over Finland.
The defender posted on Instagram after he helped in the victory in the crucial World Cup qualifier with pictures from his celebration with a message to say: “Enjoyable Night in Poland”.

Other players, such as Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins, also shared a reaction by liking the message.
Poland currently sit second in Group G of their World Cup qualifying group on 10 points, and only behind the Netherlands on goal difference.
Their victory over Finland has given them a three-point cushion as the race remains open for World Cup qualification.

Football Insider verdict
Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa were open to selling Cash, and whilst there was interest from former club Nottingham Forest, a move didn’t materialise.
Now, with the right-back staying beyond the window and showcasing his brilliance for Poland, Emery may need to look to use him more advanced, as the side are struggling for goals and creativity.
With the forward line losing Marco Asensio, Marcus Rashford and Bailey, Cash must be given more licence to attack as he does for his national team to help his club side.
