Liverpool begin their summer pre-season tour with a visit to Deepdale, where they will face Championship side Preston North End.

It will be the first time Arne Slot's squad have played since they lifted the Premier League trophy at the end of May.

It also marks the first time the Reds are to take to the field since the passing of striker Diogo Jota, aged 28, in a car accident alongside his brother Andre Silva on July 3.

A decision was taken to continue as planned with the friendly and there are tributes planned to honour the lives of the Portuguese footballers.

The start of pre-season training was postponed until Tuesday, July 8, but the players have now returned and will take to the field for their first friendly fixture this afternoon.

As well as those returning, new signings Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Giorgi Mamardashvili have met up with their new teammates and are in line to make debuts at Preston.

With that, the ECHO provides the key details required to follow the friendly live on Sunday.

The friendly between Preston and Liverpool is scheduled for a 3pm kick-off on Sunday, July 13 at Deepdale, the home of the Championship club, in Lancashire.

In the United Kingdom, supporters have a choice between two channels.

The first is ITV1, which is showing Preston vs Liverpool for free.

Also applying to viewers at home, supporters attending the match have been advised that tributes to Jota and Silva will begin at 2:50pm.

Preston vs Liverpool is also being broadcast in other regions.

In Scotland the match is viewable on STV and in Northern Ireland the channel is UTV.

A live stream will be available via both ITVX and LFCTV Go, with the details for each platform's programmes the same as above.
