Sunderland defender Reinildo is set for a three-match suspension after being shown a red card for violent conduct against Aston Villa.



On Sunday, 21 September, Sunderland hosted Aston Villa in their third home game of the Premier League campaign.



A match-defining moment arrived in the 34th minute, when Reinildo was sent off for kicking out at Matty Cash.

Before facing Aston Villa, Sunderland drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace to earn their seventh point of the Premier League season.



Meanwhile, the Black Cats travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, 27 September, which is the first of three games Reinildo will miss.
