Germany National Team head coach Julian Nagelsmann has given some valuable advice to young midfielder Florian Wirtz ahead of his potential transfer this summer.

Florian Wirtz is set to join Liverpool in the upcoming days, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The talks between the clubs are in the final stages, and the transfer fee is expected to be around €100 million Euros, according to multiple sources.

The German midfielder was a key player for Bayer Leverkusen under Spanish coach Xabi Alonso, playing a major role in their historic Bundesliga title win in the 2023/24 season.

Wirtz scored 16 goals and provided 15 assists for the German side in all competitions this season.

He also recorded 10+ goals and 10+ assists in the Bundesliga 23/24 season.

That means only Mohamed Salah and Florian Wirtz have hit 10+ goals and assists in Europe’s top five leagues in the last two seasons.

The German midfielder has also become a key player for Julian Nagelsmann since Euro 2024 and is expected to play a big role in the 2026 FIFA World Cup as well.

The former Bayern coach rates Wirtz highly and wants to make him an integral part of Germany’s future plans.

Several top clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester City have shown interest in signing Wirtz, but according to multiple reports, the attacking midfielder only wants to join Liverpool this summer.

In this context, Julian Nagelsmann revealed that Wirtz texted him to ask for advice on choosing his next club.

Julian Nagelsmann revealed: “He (Wirtz) texted me, and I tried to give him a few tips.”

This shows the strong bond between the two and hints that the Germany coach may have played a key role in influencing Wirtz’s decision to choose Liverpool.

The former Bayern manager also added: “If it’s Liverpool, it would be a very good step.

It’s a great environment and a super club.”

These statements clearly show Nagelsmann’s admiration for the Merseyside club, as well as his thoughts on the competitive and positive atmosphere of the Premier League.
