Liverpool are set for a big end to the summer transfer window as they prepare to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
The Reds have been pushing to sign Isak for much of the summer having identified him as a key target to bolster the forward line.
It may have taken up until transfer deadline day, but Liverpool are about to get their man.
Isak will reportedly sign a six-year contract with the Reds and will spend the peak of his career scoring goals at Anfield.
For Liverpool supporters, it represents something of a dream transfer, and they will be desperate to see their new record signing in action.
Unfortunately, with an international break now coming into effect, they will have to wait a little while for their £125m man to make his bow.

The trouble with making deadline day signings is that there is always a little break until they are able to turn out for their new club.
Liverpool supporters will feel that keenly over the next two weeks, as they watch Isak play for Sweden.

The 25-year-old has not played a single minute of pre-season for Newcastle this summer, and the Swede’s matches against Slovenia and Kosovo will be his first outings since May.
Isak is likely to have been keeping himself in top shape in the meantime, but Liverpool will no doubt be wary of throwing him straight into action when he returns from Scandinavia.
So, while the first opportunity for Isak to play for the Reds will come away at Burnley on September 14th, it feels unlikely that he will start.
A bench appearance may happen, but it might be more realistic that Isak will play a part in Liverpool’s Champions League opener against Atletico Madrid at Anfield on September 17th.
Failing that, there could be a tasty start to Isak’s Liverpool career as the Reds take on Everton in the Merseyside Derby three days later.
What an introduction that could be.
Although the temptation will be to throw the most expensive signing in Liverpool history straight into the action, it may actually be better for the Reds to wait.
Isak is clearly ready to play.
Despite rumours of an injury earlier in the summer, they ended up being false.
There is also the fact that Arne Slot is slightly light on forward options at the moment.
With the Champions League beginning this month he will need to rotate as much as possible.
But it is for that exact reason that Liverpool must not take any risks.
Isak has a slightly chequered injury history and they do not want to rush him back before he is ready.
With a six-year contract in the bag, Liverpool fans will have plenty of time to enjoy Isak.
