Arsenal supporters will be salivating at the thought of Bukayo Saka committing his future to Arsenal over the coming months.

William Saliba has already signed a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, with a multitude of other stars needing to be tied down as Mikel Arteta continues to build a super squad in North London.

As well as Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi, Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, which was seen as one of the last pieces of the jigsaw puzzle to end the Gunners’ hunt for silverware.

Arteta is under pressure to win trophies at Arsenal this season, having not lifted the FA Cup since the 2019-20 season, and confidence will be at an all-time high following the latest news on Saka.

According to Steve Kay via FootballTransfers (26 September), the Gunners are increasingly confident that Saka will put pen to paper on a new deal before Christmas this season.

The 24-year-old winger currently has two years remaining on his deal, but it is believed that talks have already been opened over him signing a brand-new deal, with negotiations going well in North London.

Tying down the star player to a new contract is seen as a priority by the hierarchy, including Arteta, and it is understood that his wage could rise as high as £250,000 per week, making him one of the highest earners at the club.

He last put pen to paper on a contract in 2023, extending his contract with the Gunners until the summer of 2027, but his future is now back in the spotlight.

Arsenal are one of only two Premier League clubs not to have any contracts expiring next summer, proving just how ahead of the times the club’s hierarchy is.

Alongside Saka, however, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus are out of contract in the summer of 2027, and it is unclear what the North London side has planned for either of the Brazilians.

Martinelli was strongly linked with an exit during the summer, but since the transfer window closed, the winger has made an incredible impact, not least scoring the equaliser against Man City recently.
