Fabrizio Romano has revealed when Liverpool-linked Hugo Ekitike will decide on his future.
The French striker has enjoyed a breakout season in the Bundesliga and Europa League, scoring 22 goals and providing eleven assists across all competitions for the German club.
His performance for Frankfurt has led to serious interest from several top clubs, including Liverpool.
According to reports, Liverpool scouts are monitoring him closely and have been for some time.
The suggestion is that Arne Slot sees him as a long-term solution to their attacking inconsistencies, particularly amid concerns over Darwin Nunez’s finishing and Diogo Jota’s injury history.
However, his hefty price tag is threatening to cut short Liverpool’s interest.
Frankfurt initially set a €80m price tag, but Ekitike’s form and demand have driven valuations upward.
According to German outlet BILD, Frankfurt now wants a staggering €90-100 million if they are to part ways with the Frenchman in the summer.
The Bundesliga club remains confident of securing this fee following Ekitike’s outstanding performances this season.
Having signed the French forward for only €20 million, Frankfurt is poised to make a substantial profit should their asking price be met.

Amid Frankfurt’s desire to get a hefty sum off Ekitike’s sale, reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed when the player will make a decision on his future.
According to Romano, the 22-year-old is certain to leave Frankfurt this summer, with the Premier League the likeliest destination.
“Hugo Ekitike will leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer, plan clear as several top clubs have already made contact,” Romano reaffirmed on X.
“Premier League top sides approached Eintracht and the player’s camp; Ekitike wants to focus on reaching the UCL with Eintracht and then decide his future right after.”
Eintracht Frankfurt club can still qualify for the UEFA Champions League, and the striker remains focused on this despite the ongoing speculation about his future.
The Bundesliga club currently sit third in the league table with two games left to play this season.
