The Daily Mail has revealed when Liverpool players will return to training for the new season.

Liverpool wrapped up the 2024/25 season in style on Sunday, when they lifted the Premier League trophy in front of a packed Anfield.

Although the title was not secured on Sunday, Premier League customs meant that the Reds had to wait almost a moth after securing the title by beating Tottenham 5-1 at Anfield to be allowed to lift the trophy.

Shortly after the ceremony on Sunday, Liverpool FC did a victory parade on Monday to celebrate with fans in the city.

Over a million people reportedly showed up for the parade, which was unfortunately overshadowed by an incident late in the evening.

With the season now over, the club’s focus now shifts to the transfer market.  However, for the players, it is about resting and recharging their batteries ahead of the title defense next season.

Most of the club’s first team stars will likely leave the city in the coming days, with a few others set to join up with their national teams for upcoming international games.

The likes of Alisson Becker and Curtis Jones have already received callups, meaning that they have just few days of rest before the .

In any case, the Daily Mail has revealed that Liverpool players will be back in the second week of July to begin preparations for next season.

“Liverpool’s stars have just 41 days between now and their first training session of 2025-26, which is on Tuesday July 8,” the Daily Mail reported.

Liverpool’s pre-season plans have been confirmed, with Slot and Co flying to Hong Kong on July 21 for a training camp and then a friendly against AC Milan before another game against Yokohama F Marinos in Japan the next week.

Liverpool’s travelling squad this summer will contain far more senior players than last year.

Several first team stars returned late last season due to the European Championship and Copa America last summer.

Meanwhile, next season’s Premier League campaign will start on Saturday, 16 August 2025.

Liverpool first game of the season has been confirmed, with the Reds set to face FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on the weekend before the first league game of next season.
