Manchester City could have reclaimed the Premier League title on Sunday – before protests at Old Trafford put a hold on that possibility.

Having eased past Crystal Palace 2-0 on Saturday, City would have clinched the top-flight crown if Liverpool had have beaten Manchester United 24 hours later.

But United vs Liverpool was called off by the Premier League after protests against the home side’s owners turned ugly and a group of fans broke into the stadium.

City are also still competing in the Champions League and take on Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition.

City simply need to claim two more points to clinch the title and a win against Chelsea at the Etihad on Saturday in the 5.30pm kick-off will wrap things up.

They won the first leg 2-1 in Paris and the second leg takes place on Tuesday – live on talkSPORT.

Should they draw or lose, they could still win it this weekend if United do not better their result at Aston Villa on Sunday.
