Liverpool supporters won't have to wait too long to see their latest summer signing, Milos Kerkez, take to the pitch in a Reds shirt for the first time.

This allowed Kerkez to fly into Liverpool on Monday, complete his medical and sign his new five-year contract on site at the AXA Training Centre.

Kerkez can now join Arne Slot's Premier League squad alongside one or two other new fresh faces when they return for the first day of pre-season training on Monday, July 7.

Liverpool then have their first pre-season friendly scheduled six days later, on Sunday, July 13 - a visit to Deepdale to face Preston North End.

This is the date that Kerkez could play for his new club for the first time.

After that, the squad travel to Hong Kong for another friendly against AC Milan (Saturday, July 26) before going to Japan for the very first time to take on Yokohama F.

Kerkez has already experienced the Anfield roar playing for his former club, though this could be his first time doing so as a Liverpool player.

"Even before I flew here, my brothers put on [the] TV Anfield and before the games and how the fans are and everything.

Everyone in my family, I can say in my hometown, can't wait for me to step into Anfield," the left-back has said in his first interview with the club.

If looking for the date Kerkez could make his competitive debut, that would be Sunday, August 10.

For winning the Premier League last term, Slot's men will face 2024/25 FA Cup winners Crystal Palace for the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.

But it is Kerkez's potential Premier League debut for Liverpool that will be the source of most intrigue.

Opening the new English top-flight campaign on Friday, August 15, the Reds host the 21-year-old's now former club Bournemouth at Anfield.
