The Carabao Cup second round draw is slated for Wednesday, August 13, and will be conducted live at Birmingham City's home ground, St Andrews.
The draw is anticipated to commence between 7pm and 7:30pm BST (2pm-2:30pm ET), during the pre-match build-up to Birmingham's clash with Sheffield United, one of five matches taking place on Wednesday.
The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football in the UK and Ireland, but it's also available for free viewing.
The nine top-tier teams that will be competing in Europe this season will join the competition in the third round
This includes title-holders Liverpool, along with Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea, who all secured a spot in the Premier League's top four.
Tottenham will also enter in the third round courtesy of their Europa League triumph, as will Newcastle United, Aston Villa, FA Cup victors Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.
United will be joined in the second round by newly promoted Sunderland, Leeds and Burnley, as well as Wolves, West Ham, Everton, Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton, plus all the winners from the first round.
Liverpool had been favorites going into last year's final but came unstuck against Newcastle, with Dan Burn and Reds target Alexander Isak on the scoresheet.
Federico Chiesa did get one back for the Reds but it wasn't to be and Arne Slot will be eyeing another shot at silverware this season.
It has since emerged that Isak made his desire to leave Newcastle clear following that final, as he continues to try and force through a move to Anfield.
