Leeds United’s electrifying attacker, Crysenico Summerville, has been steadily building his reputation in and around the Premier League.

Heralded as a bright prospect in English football, Summerville’s journey from the streets of Rotterdam to the hallowed turf of Elland Road suggest he is ready for the next step in his career.

Born in 2001, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Summerville began his footballing journey with youth side RVV Noorderkwartier before catching the eye of Feyenoord’s esteemed academy.

His raw talent and blistering pace quickly propelled him through the ranks, earning him a coveted spot in Feyenoord’s first team squad at just 18 years old.

His talents at Feyenoord would soon earn him a modest 1.5 million euro move to Leeds United in 2020, where he has now grown into one of the most promising attackers in England.

Summerville has gone from strength to strength since making the switch to Elland Road.

In the Championship this season, the Dutchman has managed 19 goals and 9 assists in 43 appearances.

He played a key role in Daniel Farke’s men finishing third, and he will now attempt to bring Leeds back to the Premier League after relegation last season.

Have Liverpool found their Sadio Mane replacement?

Plenty has changed at Anfield since Sadio Mane left the club at the end of the 2021/22 season.

Luis Diaz was already being bedded in that season having signed in January 2022.

However, the Senegal international hit the 20-goal mark in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign as well as managing 16 Premier League goals in his final season.

Diaz, while overall has been a good signing, has not showed the goal scoring instincts on the left wing yet.

Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo continues to get shuffled around having started down the middle against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

It does really feel that the Reds are yet to truly replace the Senegal international, who was a huge part of why Liverpool were so successful in the past.

Arne Slot links with Crysenico Summerville

Arne Slot is believed to be a big fan of the mercurial winger and reportedly wanted him as Feyenoord boss.

However, the Dutch club deemed the 22-year-old too expensive and would not make a move for him.

But Slot is thought to be ‘wild’ about Summerville according to AnfieldSector, and could look to bring him to the club in the summer.

Fabrizio Romano has already confirmed that Summerville is a realistic option for Liverpool, saying:

“They sent their scouts multiple times – even before [Michael] Edwards and [Richard] Hughes arrived at the club – to follow the progress of Summerville.”

“So now, let’s see what Liverpool will decide to do.

But the player is really appreciated.” 

So, it definitely looks like Summerville to Liverpool could be one to watch this summer, especially if an attacker was to depart for any reason.
