Liverpool continued their pre-season today behind-closed-doors.

Whilst there was national coverage on Liverpool’s last pre-season game, as it was an occasion that took on a far deeper meaning, today Liverpool carried out a game that was under much quieter circumstances.

Keen to get more minutes into the players legs before departing for Hong Kong to begin their pre-season tour of Asia, Liverpool take part in a friendly against Stoke City at the AXA Training Centre away from the cameras.

Liverpool fielded a relatively strong Starting XI for the game, with the team sheet reading as follows:
