Their star goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, has left the squad midway through the tour.
And while fans feared the worst, the reason behind his early exit isn’t football-related.
The Brazilian has reportedly been granted permission to return home due to a personal matter.
According to The Athletic’s James Pearce, “Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has left the club’s preseason tour of Asia for a personal matter… and won’t feature in Wednesday’s final match against Yokohama F Marinos at Nissan Stadium.”
The 32-year-old is expected to rejoin the squad once they return to England.
He may get minutes in the friendly against Athletic Club at Anfield on August 4, which will be the final warm-up game before Liverpool’s season gets underway.

Alisson isn’t the only Red to step away early.
Joe Gomez has already flown home with an Achilles issue, and winger Luis Diaz is off to complete his move to Bayern Munich.
The mood around Arne Slot’s new-look squad had been largely positive, but losing three senior players in one tour isn’t ideal.
Slot now has just a few days left to test his tactics before facing Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on August 10.
Summer signing Giorgi Mamardashvili will step up in goal against Yokohama and might have to keep his gloves warm for a bit longer if Alisson isn’t back in time.
