Daniel Levy may have to face the music from Tottenham supporters after Son Heung-min outlined his reasons for leaving this summer.
The South Korean star is set to end his decade-long stay in North London, having first arrived from Bayer Leverkusen on a £22million deal back in 2015 [Mirror].
He has since become a legend for the Lilywhites, making a total of 454 appearances, notching 173 goals and 101 assists in that time, finally leading the team to major silverware in the Europa League title.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham are ready to sign Man United’s Alejandro Garnacho as a potential replacement for the 33-year-old, and that has certainly split opinion.
With many fans now putting Son ahead of Harry Kane in the legendary standings, he leaves huge shoes to fill.
Revealing his reason for leaving this summer, Son said: “It was the most difficult decision I have made in my career.
The main reason is that I have achieved everything I can at Tottenham.
I need a new environment for a fresh challenge.”

While Spurs did manage to reach the Champions League final once under Mauricio Pochettino, trophies have always remained a distant dream rather than a realistic target.
Fans continue to put that down to Levy’s lack of on-pitch investment, and Dan Plumley revealed to Football Insider that Tottenham can spend hundreds of millions and still be PSR compliant.
A recent £55m deal was done for Mohammed Kudus [BBC Sport], which was a nice surprise to those in North London, but supporters have now been waiting for another key arrival since 11 July.

That has been a common trend for the Lilywhites over the years, with the owner choosing to line his pockets rather than increase Spurs’ chances of developing on the pitch and winning more titles.
While a minority of Tottenham fans were highly critical of Son’s performances last term, he remained an important part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans, notching 11 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
Despite finishing 17th in the Premier League table, the team’s lifting of the Europa League title proved that there was a plan under the Australian’s guidance, only for Levy to cut that fairytale short.
Of course, there were murmurs of Son departing for the Saudi Pro League throughout the campaign, with the winger only getting older, but those voices never became louder than a whisper.

With Postecoglou sacked and quickly replaced by Thomas Frank, rumours have quickly snowballed into reports, and the veteran forward has announced his ambitions to try a new challenge.
Levy’s decisions appear to have played a key role in the player coming to his decision, and he could now face further fury from supporters as a new era begins without their most experienced star.
Most fans expected the South Korean to hit back against any possible moves away, but LAFC now looks to be his likeliest destination, linking back up with former teammates Hugo Lloris.
