Liverpool fans watching the Reds clinch the Premier League title against Tottenham on Sunday may have noticed a significant absence from the broadcast.
Indeed, Jamie Carragher was nowhere to be seen during the title winning celebrations at Anfield yesterday.
Liverpool clinched their 20th Premier League title after an emphatic 5-1 victory against Spurs, and usually, Carragher would be a major part of Sky's coverage.
But on this occasion, the former player was not sighted amidst the celebrations in the stadium and across the city.

Based on his social media activity, it appears that Carragher was attending the London Marathon where he was supporting his wife, Nicola.
Her completing the marathon means she has now finished all six Abbott World Marathon Majors after running in London, Tokyo, New York, Boston, Berlin and Chicago.

Carragher did however present his views on Liverpool’s triumph in his column for The Telegraph.
He wrote: “It is an honour they must temporarily share with Manchester United, the giants of English football tied at 20-20.
When you add Anfield’s six European Cups to the league tally, the last counter-argument they were clinging to at Old Trafford has been obliterated.”

He added: “[Arne] Slot has secured his place in Anfield folklore by restoring parity with Ferguson.
