Arsenal players have shared their excitement after Gabriel Jesus offered a promising update on his recovery from a ACL injury.

Jesus has struggled with numerous injury issues since his arrival at the Emirates, which brought a halt to the momentum he built in his first few months at the club back in 2022.

He has been sidelined since January after Jesus suffered an ACL injury against Manchester United during their FA Cup tie, leaving the squad short of forward options.

The string of injuries has understandably frustrated the club, with Football Insider reporting that Arsenal could be open to letting Jesus leave this summer, with interest coming from Brazil.

However, after being out for seven months, the striker has shared an update that suggests fans should not write him off just yet.

Despite uncertainty and speculation over his future at the club, Jesus has given both fans and teammates an encouraging update on Instagram.

He shared a video of himself undertaking individual training on the club’s training ground, with a heartfelt caption that read: “It’s been seven months of pain, uncertainty, and anxiety.

GOD IS GREAT.”

Plenty of his teammates joined in the excitement, with William Saliba commenting: “They are not ready for you”, Jurrien Timber leaving a heart-eyes emoji, and the likes of Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Myles Lewis-Skelly all liking the post.

With a return now looking imminent, Jesus will face new competition up front as Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres earlier in the window, who has already made an impact with a brace against Leeds.

Arsenal fans were calling for the club to cash in on Jesus last season due to his multiple injury issues, but with Kai Havertz recently suffering an injury, Jesus’ presence in the squad may be more important than ever.

Before suffering his latest setback, the 28-year-old had begun to rediscover his form, scoring six goals in December and putting together a promising run of performances.

Despite being linked with a potential exit, Arsenal have already faced injury issues with Saka, Havertz and Martin Odegaard this season, meaning a return from injury for Jesus would provide a major boost.

In recent months, Jesus has shared images of himself on the training pitch, and it now appears that a return to first-team action may be sooner rather than later.
