Willy Gnonto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have both responded to Anton Stach’s unique Instagram post after his superb Leeds debut.

Following a two-year hiatus from the Premier League, the Peacocks returned in style as they beat Everton 1-0 under the lights of Elland Road.

Lucas Perri was resilient in goal whilst Joel Piroe struggled to adapt to the fast pace of the English top-flight.

One of the new Leeds signings who flourished on his debut was Stach, as the German marauded the midfield with high energy and killer passes.

Daniel Farke was almost certainly impressed with his new man from Hoffenheim and Leeds fans should expect much more to come from the 26-year-old.

Posting on his Instagram (19 August), the Germany international shared some photos from his English top-flight debut against the Toffees with some very random edited images.

Captioned: “Premier League debut, on the hunt for three points, Elland Road roaring, what a night, we like to move it”, the number 18 included some bizarre additions to the stills.

In the first shot, the former Mainz midfielder was in between a hungry Alex from the movie “Madagascar” chasing after Marty the zebra as a steak.

Only image included both Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and James Garner falling over as Stach marched through with a clear mistake in the editing process as the Peacocks’ anchorman’s hand appeared to phase through the latter’s right leg.

In the final image, the six-foot-four German was seen wearing fencing gear as he reached for the ball, rounding off a hilarious bunch of photos.

Gnonto and Leeds’ newest man Calvert-Lewin both liked the post, clearly thoroughly amused with what they had seen, along with the likes of Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon.

Football Insider verdict

After a manic first weekend of the campaign, I’ve finally started to catch my breath and review all the carnage of the Premier League with a magnifying glass.

What is certainly apparent is that the promoted sides have not just come to make up the numbers, they are here to stay.

Both Leeds and Sunderland put on superb performances against established top-flight sides, looking pretty comfortable amongst the big boys.

Burnley had a far harder affair against a revitalised Tottenham, yet they still created chances to trouble the Spurs rearguard.

It would not surprise me if this year two of the three promoted sides stay up with the Toffees, the Hammers and Brentford all looking below-par.

If Farke and Regis Le Bris can maintain the same buoyant energy with their respective teams, we could see a huge shake-up in the highest level of English football.
