It has been a frenetic summer at Anfield, highlighted by a series of high-profile first-team deals and shrewd investments in the future.

As Liverpool bolstered their senior ranks to defend the Premier League title, sporting director Richard Hughes has also turned his attention to long-term projects, securing Golden Boy nominee Armin Pecsi from Puskás Akadémia and beating Arsenal to the signing of prolific young forward Will Wright from Salford City.

Both players have already joined the club’s elite development setups.

And the trend of securing the best talents available is continuing.

Hungarian journalist Bence Boscak, reporting for Anfield Watch, has revealed that Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Senegalese winger Sidy Barhama Ndiaye.

The 15-year-old has been at the AXA Training Centre to begin the next phase of his development ahead of his eventual move to Merseyside.

The teenage sensation, who has already been training with the Reds’ youth setup, represents the latest acquisition in what is becoming an increasingly sophisticated global recruitment operation under sporting director Richard Hughes.

The excitement surrounding Ndiaye’s arrival has been building since Liverpool first identified him as a priority target during the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, where his performances for Senegal caught the attention of the club’s expanding network of international scouts.

However, the report asserts that the teenager will only be able to join the ranks on Merseyside after his 18th birthday:

“Still only 15-years-old, Ndiaye won’t be able to join Liverpool until he celebrates his 18th birthday?

This will be on the 31st December 2027.”

“However, Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign him in principle in a similar deal to Kendry Paez’s move to Chelsea from Independiente del Valle, which was agreed two years prior to his arrival this summer.”

“As per FIFA rules, he will be able to spend up to eight weeks per calendar year at the club before he is able to officially complete his move.”
