Once Liverpool were confirmed as Premier League champions at the end of April, preparations would have already been well underway for the start of the next campaign.

Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah will also be centre-back options for Liverpool next season, although Quansah has been linked with a move away from Anfield in recent weeks and only played 13 times in the Premier League last season.

Liverpool could also strengthen the left-back position, with Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez a target.

If the Reds sign the Cherries defender, it would create uncertainty over the futures of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

In midfield, Liverpool could significantly strengthen their options with the arrival of Florian Wirtz.

Based on his recent interview, Harvey Elliott's time as a Reds player may come to an end after he admitted he doesn't want to be "wasting years" of his career.

In terms of the forward line, Liverpool will have Mohamed Salah in their ranks yet again after he signed a two-year contract extension

It remains to be seen, though, if the duo will still be Liverpool players when the new season gets underway.
