Wolves are reportedly keeping tabs on Getafe forward Christantus Uche as a late-window option to bolster their attack.
The Midlands side have endured a tough summer transfer window, with Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri making big-money departures to Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively.
Meanwhile, the likes of Goncalo Guedes, Pablo Sarabia and Nelson Semedo have exited, leaving Wolves short of depth — despite signing Fer Lopez, Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe.
Wolves were thrashed 4-0 at home by Man City on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, highlighting a clear need to strengthen at the back — but one eye is also being kept on forward areas.
According to Ben Jacobs, Wolves ‘appreciate’ Getafe attacker Uche and is an ‘option’ for Vitor Pereira’s men.
At present, Wolves remain focused on other positions, with that defeat at home to City possibly sparking alarm at the club that their defensive line needs help.

However, Uche will continue to be monitored in case further replacements for Cunha’s output last season — 15 goals and six assists in the Premier League alone — are required.

Uche has already attracted attention from Leeds United this summer, with the Whites lodging an inquiry for the 22-year-old — who can play up-front, attacking midfield and on the wing — back in July.
That interest from the Yorkshire side has yet to transpire into a concrete offer.
It’s understood that Uche has a £21.6million release clause on his contract, making him a realistic target for most Premier League clubs.
Uche registered four goals and six assists in 33 La Liga appearances last season, while he started 2025/26 in style with a goal and an assist in Getafe’s 2-0 win at Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Football Insider verdict
While a 4-0 defeat at home isn’t the ideal way to start the season, Pereira might secretly be glad of the leverage it gives him against the Wolves board.
In the aftermath of Saturday’s result, the Portuguese coach sensationally put pressure on his employers to make ‘three or four’ new signings, insisting Fosun Group are well aware of the positions he wants adding to.
“[I am] waiting for the help of the club to sign new players,” Pereira said (Birmingham World).
“We need new players, we need quality.
They [Fosun] know since the last season the positions that we need.”
He added: “They are saying to me that they are working to bring in three or four players to balance our squad.
The club knows that we need maybe three signings with quality to add something more.
“This league is a very difficult league, and we need more solutions.
This is the time to make an offer and to help the team.
We need help, so I hope the club can help us.”
So, while the Wolves hierarchy are in no rush to do a deal, Pereira might use Saturday’s miserable result — which yielded just three shots on target — to accelerate interest in Uche
