There is currently a transfer merry go round taking place, which makes it worth monitoring several clubs’ transfer activity as we approach the end of the summer transfer window on Monday.
Fabrizio Romano dropped an exclusive yesterday detailing the Wolves’ newest signing.
His post on X reads: “Wolves agree deal in principle to sign Tolu Arokodare as new striker from Genk, here we go!”
“27m fee agreed with Genk tonight and medical booked on Saturday for WWFC new striker.”
“New important addition to Wolves.”
It settles the storm for the club as noise continues to surround their star striker Jorgen Strand Larsen and whether or not he will move to Newcastle United this summer.
The signing of Arokodare could mean that Wolves would be open to selling Larsen as they now have a replacement, after previously rejecting two bids from the Magpies for the player.
If Larsen was to join Newcastle United, him and Nick Woltemade will become to replacements for Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak, freeing up the latter’s path to Liverpool.
Many moving parts, but things are going Liverpool’s way at the minute.
Reports surfaced earlier today stating that a deal had been agreed between Liverpool and Newcastle United for the transfer of Alexander Isak but Craig Hope, a reliable Newcastle insider, shut down those reports.
The signing of Arokodare to Wolves is a promising sign for Liverpool, but a lot still has to be done to secure the signing of Alexander Isak at this stage.
