Marti Cifuentes’s side stole a point at the death as Leicester City drew 1-1 with West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Samuel Iling-Junior opened the scoring in stylish fashion, jinking between Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard before slotting home in front of the Hawthorns crowd on Friday, 26 September.

The Foxes had a chance to move within one spot of the league leaders, Middlesbrough, but it was not enough for Cifuentes’ players as they were forced to settle for a single point on the road.

Abdul Fatawa was expected to shine for Leicester, and after being marked out of the game for much of the 90 minutes, he delivered the cross for Bobby Decordova-Reid to fire across the box, and for Nat Phillips to fire into his own net.

Jakub Stolarczyk – 6

Very little the goalkeeper could do to deny the opening goal at the Hawthorns.

His yellow card was slightly controversial, though.

Luke Thomas (Off for Decordova-Reid 73?) – 6

Stable defending from the 24-year-old, who has continued to cement himself as the Foxes’ first choice at left-back.

Boubakary Soumare – 5

A poor first half, but slowly grew into the game.

He carried the ball well, crunched into challenges, and tried his best to push Leicester up the pitch.

Harry Winks – 6

While many of his passes were sideways, he attempted to take more shots at goal than many of his teammates, trying to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Jordan James (Off for Carranza 46?) – 5

Slightly unlucky to be hooked at half-time, but with the Foxes in search of a goal, it made sense for the Welshman to make way for a more attacking figure.

Abdul Fatawu – 8

Continued to press all night, but certainly not his best 90 minutes in a Leicester shirt.

Anyone could have been replaced, and it just happened to be him.

Jordan Ayew (Off for Kristiansen 73?) – 4

Offered very little in front of goal.

Steadied the defence after coming on.

Bobby Decordova-Reid (On for Thomas 73?) – 7

Clinical.

Got one chance, and fired it back in for an own goal to be scored.

Patson Daka (On for Pereira 81?) – N/A
