Liverpool fans can expect a busy next few days as the club look to get their business done before the first window shuts.
The Reds have had an exciting start to the transfer window and will look to wrap up some of their business before the first window shuts on June 10th.
Florian Wirtz is close to joining Liverpool and it is the deal that all fans are eagerly anticipating, with progress being slow of late.
However, big deals take quite a bit of time, especially as Liverpool will be demolishing the British transfer record when eventually bringing him to the club.
The 22-year-old flourished under the management of former red Xabi Alonso, with some believing that he has been key in the player’s development.

The former Germany boss knows Wirtz better than most, with the 65-year-old handing him his national team debut when he was just 17.
However, despite the one who properly announced Wirtz on the world stage, Joachim Low told German outlet BILD that Alonso has been key in developing him into the talent he is today.

“He has developed enormously under him [Alonso] and they have a great relationship of trust.
That’s very important for a young player,” Low said.
“Nevertheless, I have no concerns that Wirtz will prevail – no matter where he would have gone.
He possesses all the skills a footballer needs to be a world-class player.”
Praise like this suggests it is no wonder why Liverpool are willing to pay around £126m for his services, especially as Low spotted his talent from as early as 17.
Xabi Alonso felt like he had done all he could at Bayer Leverkusen and decided to move on this summer, and it looks like Wirtz is going to do the same.
Since breaking Bayer Leverkusen’s record for their youngest-ever debutant back in 2020, doing so at the age of 17 years and 15 days old, Wirtz has gone from strength to strength.

Despite being just 22, Wirtz is hugely experienced in the Bundesliga and on the world stage, with the attacking midfielder playing 30 times for the national side, including a European Championship.
Equally adept at scoring or creating, the German is the perfect number 10 and has all the potential to set the Premier League alight from the get-go.
Competition for places in the Liverpool squad is certainly high within their midfield, but it seems a no-brainer that Wirtz comes in and instantly holds down his position.
