Newcastle United is hopeful of getting a deal over the line for the Brentford striker Yoane Wissa for a fee of around $47 million (£35 million), with Liverpool and Alexander Isak awaiting potential developments.

According to Sky Sports, Brentford is looking to sign Bournemouth’s Dango Ouattara, who is open to that switch.

If that is done, then it would pave the way for Wissa — and possibly Isak.

Eddie Howe has been chasing Wissa, who scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, for some time.

In addition to Wissa, there might be other movement for Newcastle soon too.

According to Sky Germany, after missing out on Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United, Newcastle is now in talks with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani.

The French forward was on loan at Juventus last season and the Italian side would like to keep him.

"You have to earn the right to train with us," Howe told the Daily Mail last weekend

Formerly known as Samu Omorodion, he scored 19 goals in 30 games in Portugal last season.

Liverpool.com says: There's no suggestion that Aghehowa is at the same level as Isak right now, but he's a little closer to the profile of the Swede from back when Newcastle first signed him, having spent time honing his craft at a couple of top European clubs.
