Yoane Wissa is set to join Newcastle United from Brentford on transfer deadline day.
Amid Alexander Isak’s imminent move to Liverpool, Newcastle have pursued fellow striker Wissa, who scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, and has agreed to move to St James’ Park on Monday, 1 September.
The Magpies have also signed Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, with Eddie Howe set for a new-look forward line this term.
Despite the North East side’s moves for Woltemade and Wissa, Newcastle supporters have been left furious by Isak’s departure.

Before agreeing to sign Wissa from Brentford, Newcastle had also eyed a deal for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano revealed via X on 1 September that Wissa will be joining Howe’s men in a deal worth £55million.
