GIORGI MAMARDASHVILI - 7

Made an excellent save from a header towards the end of the half and looked to get his team-mates on the front foot with some direct passing.

IBRAHIMA KONATE - 6

Tried to build attacks by both carrying it out from the back and playing the odd diagonal pass towards Gakpo.

Failed to track a run that forced Mamardashvili into an excellent save late in the half.

DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI - 6

Should have done better with Salah's pass before the half-hour mark but stumbled trying to go around the goalkeeper.

Looks like he is going to be plenty of fun to watch based on some of the link-up play with his colleagues.

CODY GAKPO - 7

Was unlucky to see a tidy finish come back off the post and was again unfortunate after taking Salah's ball over the top down well before going through on goal only to be denied after beating his man.

HUGO EKITIKE - 6

Took one pass in from Salah nicely early on and has tried to link up with his fellow attackers but no real chances so far for the new man on his unofficial debut.
