Liverpool closes out its tour of Japan today as it faces Yokohama F Marinos in its latest pre-season friendly.

The Reds will be aiming to bounce back somewhat following Saturday's defeat to AC Milan in Hong Kong, with the start of the new Premier League season now a little over two weeks away.

Arne Slot will no doubt be aiming to give as many of his players a run-out today as they build up their fitness ahead of that opening game against Bournemouth on August 15.

Among those hoping to get some minutes will be Hugo Ekitike, who is in line to make his first appearance for Liverpool after completing his move from Eintracht Frankfurt last week.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker will be missing though after leaving the tour early on Tuesday due to personal reasons, and there will of course be no Luis Diaz, with the winger set to be unveiled as a Bayern Munich player later today after undergoing his medical yesterday.
