Liverpool have had a successful transfer window so far but it has meant saying goodbye to some firm favourites around the club.
The Reds have both bought and sold well this summer, with their cash flow looking healthy despite, of course, spending a little more than they have returned.
Even though their squad was in good condition and contained stars capable of winning the Premier League again, somewhat of a clear out has felt necessary, with many moving on to pastures new.
33-year-old Mohamed Salah, however, is one of those who will be sticking around, with the Egyptian looking to break record after record yet again.
If he does, though, he will have to do it without sharing the pitch with one of his closest friends, with the winger penning an emotional goodbye on his social media to show just how much he will be missed.

The attack of Liverpool is where the constant threat has lain over recent years, with the forward line seemingly clicking both on and off the pitch.
Although he may not have had the most successful time at Anfield, Darwin Nunez was a key part of the attack over the past few years, with the Uruguayan making an impression on anyone who crossed paths with him.
Salah is just one player he had a close bond with, and now the pair have been separated due to the striker moving on to Al Hilal, the Egyptian wanted to let his feelings known by posting a heartfelt message on his Instagram.

“You were always very real and brought so much good energy wherever you went.
You made us laugh and showed heart in everything you did.”
He concluded by writing: “You will be missed and I wish you the best in your new club.”
During their three years together, Salah and Nunez shared the pitch 122 times, combining to create 18 goals, 13 of which saw the Uruguayan set up the Egyptian, with Ally McCoist once labelling Nunez as ‘unbelievable’.
As nice as their friendship was, football goes on and Salah will now be looking for the next person to form a bond with both on and off the pitch.
Someone he will likely do this with is new signing Hugo Ekitike, with the Frenchman the perfect player to facilitate the winger’s game.
As he is very similar to Roberto Firmino, Salah should benefit significantly from Ekitike’s link-up play and movement, allowing him more space and opportunities.
Nunez is no longer a Red and it is certainly a real shame, but the future of Liverpool is rather exciting and Salah still has a big role to play in it.
