Liverpool’s academy really is a conveyor belt of top talent. The Reds’ transfer strategy may have slightly changed over the summer as instead of signing stars that can be turned into the best, they have bought ready-made players who are already some of Europe’s elite. However, that does not mean they are neglecting the academy and they continue to develop young talent who could reach the first-team one day.Rio Ngumoha is the perfect example of how there is a clear pathway, even if he joined very late, although he certainly gives young stars hope. And there is one in particular who has caught the eye of many, with Liverpool perhaps having yet another big talent ready to rise up through the ranks.Photo by Gaspafotos/MB Media/Getty ImagesLa’more Lee Forrester is impressing coaches at LiverpoolThe attack is where Liverpool tend to thrive and it is clear that they install this philosophy all the way through their academy, with so many young forwards impressing coaches. Most of the focus goes on the Under 21s or Under 18s, though, but when looking a little further down the age groups, there is one star who is catching the eye of all.Soon to turn 17, attacker La’more Lee Forrester has been named by The Guardian as Liverpool’s best young talent and the ‘next generation’ of footballers to come through.

Joining the club aged six, Forrester is now a first year scholar and is expected to become a regular in the Under 18s. They state that he is ‘blessed with outstanding pace and skill,’ with his ability to play on either flank making him a big favourite among coaches.Mainly operating off the right, though, Forrester certainly knows where the back of the net is too, and he has already both scored and assisted this season.READ MORE: Cody Gakpo has already shown why Liverpool fans should not panic over Ibrahima Konate’s futureThe Guardian claim that coaches are now working hard to ensure that his pace can be utilised to its greatest threat, with there being real excitement about just how good he could become.La’more Lee Forrester is unlikely to get any first-team minutes this seasonSometimes youngsters can get lucky and find themselves coming off the bench in one of the domestic cups, but Forrester will likely not get this chance. There are a few reasons for this, but the first is that Liverpool face Crystal Palace next in the Carabao Cup, a game which Arne Slot will be desperate to win after losing twice already to them this season. The difficulty of the game also means a strong team will be fielded, hence why Forrester will have to wait longer to get his chance. As well as this, the options in front of him in his positions means he has an even harder task, with the right likely to be taken by either Mohamed Salah or Federico Chiesa. Then on the left, Cody Gakpo or fellow young star Ngumoha will play out there, meaning that he is just unlucky right now given the talent in front of him.
