Almost all of Liverpool’s new signings have failed to make an impact since joining. Many football fans claimed that the Reds had ‘won the transfer window’ after seeing the money they spent and the players they brought in, but things have not gone to plan.Bar Hugo Ekitike, none of them have had the desired impact, although in all fairness, the existing players around them have started poorly too.But some have really struggled more than others, with Arne Slot having some uncomfortable decisions to think about over the international break. In fact, it might even lead to one player being dropped from the side, with Alan Shearer believing that he has actually become worse since joining in the summer.Photo by BURAK BASTURK/Middle East Images/AFP via Getty ImagesMilos Kerkez has got worse, says Alan ShearerLiverpool’s squad has seen a lot of turnover in the last few months, but the biggest changes have, arguably, come in the full-back positions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has moved on and Andy Robertson has dropped to the bench, with both being replaced in the transfer market.Neither Jeremie Frimpong nor Milos Kerkez have impressed just yet, though, with the latter in particular coming under fire for his poor performances. He certainly does not look like the same player he was at Bournemouth last season, and Shearer believes that, if anything, he has got worse.“It’s not the only problem in that side, Kerkez is not as good as he was at Bournemouth,” he said on Premier League Productions’ The Weekend Wrap.READ MORE: Liverpool fans are all saying the same thing about what the club have just done for Trent Alexander-Arnold “He’s finding it difficult at Liverpool. He had the freedom to do what he wanted and play off the cuff at Bournemouth, but he’s finding it hard in terms of when to go and when not to go in terms of that cover that Van Dijk needs.”Kerkez is yet to register a goal involvement despite this being his main threat, with the defensive side of his game also being shaky, hence why he is under the spotlight.Milos Kerkez just needs timeKerkez has still had a few decent games, with the most notable ones being against Arsenal and Everton, arguably two of the biggest of the season.

However, his inconsistency has let him down at times and the emotion of the game can get the better of him, although this is something he will learn to fix in good time. The Hungarian is still only 21 and, with all due respect to Bournemouth, Liverpool are a massive step up, and he would not be the first to take time to adapt. In fact, Andy Robertson even took time to settle in and he has gone on to be one of the best left-backs the Premier League has seen, proving that patience is key.
