After claiming an unwanted record with his red card against Crystal Palace, Amara Nallo has been given an opportunity to put his nightmare behind him with England. He has, however, maintained his focus after that cruel blow and captained Liverpool U21s to a 4-2 victory over Middlesbrough three days after his dismissal at Anfield.

Now Nallo has been named in the England U20s squad for the upcoming break, highlighting the esteem he is held in at international level. Only turning 19 four days after their friendly against Japan U20s on November 14, he is among the youngest players in Ben Futcher’s squad.

Nyoni has been a regular for the U19s since November 2024 and has also made two appearances for the U20s, but Ngumoha is a newer addition having stepped up from the U18s in September. Jayden Danns was part of the England U20s squad for that September break but is now facing months on the sidelines after a serious hamstring injury.
