Isak is willing to sit out even if he doesn't get sold this summer, as he does whatever it takes to get a move to the Reds.
It is believed he has no intention of reintegrating himself into Eddie Howe's squad after being banished from the first-team set-up.
But of course, Alexander-Arnold did not down tools to get his move to the Spanish giants earlier this summer.

Agbonlahor continued to discuss Isak's decision not to play again for Newcastle, looking at the club's current situation.
The Magpies have failed to sign Benjamin Sesko, who joined Manchester United instead, along with many other targets, in what has turned out to be a dismal transfer window.
They remain keen on signing Yoane Wissa and the Brentford forward is still expecting to leave the Bees this summer.
It means they now head into their first game of the season this weekend with William Osula their only recognised striker.
"The fact that Newcastle missed out on Sesko, they've got every right to say you're going nowhere," Agbonlahor continued.
"They've lost Callum Wilson, can't get Wissa over the line yet...they've got Villa on Saturday and they could do with him.

"I'm fuming...I'm not a Newcastle fan, but I'm fuming for them, who does this guy think he is?
"You've had a fantastic season, but settle down a bit, mate."
"I get it, you want to go and explore and go for a bigger club, but if it doesn't suit the club, shut up.
"Get your boots on, it's a big season for Newcastle, they want to start the season well, Villa away is a tough game.
"And now you're adamant you don't want to play?
What?"
Isak may not be featuring, but fans can tune in to Aston Villa vs Newcastle this Saturday at 12:30pm live on talkSPORT.
talkSPORT reveal Alexander Isak is refusing to play for Newcastle again
talkSPORT's Simon Jordan has also given his verdict on Isak's new stance that he will not play for Newcastle again.
Jordan said: "Isak doesn't owe the club anything, he signed for the club, has played for the club and performed well for the club, so it's a partnership between the club and the player.
"The club gave him a contract and he played to his natural ability, so the idea of 'Look at what Newcastle have done for him'...look at what he's done for Newcastle.
"The reality of the situation is quite simple, we're talking about quotes that are not attributed to the players, we're talking about understandings from journalists.
