Niall Quinn has called on Sunderland to re-sign Jordan Henderson for their Premier League return.
The Black Cats secured promotion by winning the Championship play-off final on Saturday.

Tom Watson's strike in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time sealed a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium.
Henderson, who has a year left on his deal at Dutch giants Ajax, was in the stands to watch his former club book their place in the top-flight after eight years away.
Following the win, he wrote on Instagram: "Congratulations @sunderlandafc!!!
So happy for the whole club, back in the Premier League."
The England international also posed for a photo with Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham after the final whistle.
Henderson began his career at the Stadium of Light, spending 13 years with the club after coming through their academy.
After making his first-team debut at 18, he went on to make 79 appearances for Sunderland.
However, the the boyhood Sunderland fan was sold to Liverpool in 2011 before a 12-year spell at Anfield.
During that time, he won eight trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.

Former Sunderland striker and chairman Quinn is now hopeful Henderson will return to the Black Cats this summer.
Speaking on the Weekend Sports Breakfast, he explained: "Well, I had it from the day Jordan left and Liverpool paid us £20million back in the day that there was a big wide door open for him any time he wanted to come back.

"Obviously, it's not my business to do anything but just comment on that.
He's a real sort of driver.
"He went up to Liverpool, that first year was really tough and a year later, Jordan turned it all around and he was a huge influence.
"To see him lift that Champions League trophy, I think made everybody in Sunderland very proud."
Henderson left Liverpool for Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq in July 2023 before joining Ajax six months later.
He currently has a year remaining on his deal with the Dutch giants, having been named captain last year.

However, their season ended in disappointment after missing out on the Eredivisie title.
Ajax surrendered a nine-point lead with five matches remaining as they finished second behind PSV.
