AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has addressed the mounting transfer speculation surrounding striker Antoine Semenyo ahead of the January transfer window. Despite growing interest from top Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and others, Iraola emphasized that Semenyo remains a Bournemouth player for now. Speaking in November before Bournemouth's clash with West Ham, Iraola stated: “We are in November, Antoine is our player, he will continue to be our player. In January, you can ask me about the market.” He added that he is currently not worried about the upcoming transfer window or the situation concerning the player, focusing instead on the team's immediate concerns and available players.

This season, Semenyo has been in impressive form, scoring six goals and providing three assists in the Premier League’s opening matches, making him one of the standout performers—only Erling Haaland has a better goal contribution record. His performances have made him a highly sought-after player among England’s elite clubs, with reported suitors including Liverpool, who have held positive exploratory talks, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham, in particular, view Semenyo as an ideal replacement for Heung-Min Son, especially on the left wing, given his versatility across the frontline.

In the summer, Semenyo secured a five-year contract extension with Bournemouth, which reportedly includes a release clause of around £65 million active for a limited period in January before dropping to just over £50 million in the summer. This release clause has intensified interest from potential buyers, but Iraola has so far resisted confirming any details or indicating that a sale is imminent.

While speculation continues, Iraola remains focused on Bournemouth’s current campaign, expressing confidence in Semenyo's commitment to the club. He highlighted that discussions about the transfer market and any potential sales will take place once January arrives, but for now, the forward is a key part of Bournemouth’s push for European qualification.
