Andy Carroll has been named player-assistant manager for the 2026/27 season. A club statement read: “We are delighted to confirm that Daggers Number Nine Andy Carroll will be Lee Allinson’s Player-Assistant Manager for the 2026/27 Season.“Andy led the Daggers as Interim Manager for the final seven league fixtures last season, overseeing a 2-2-3 record, including memorable wins over Torquay and H&R Borough.“He now embraces the role to continue to support the management team, while returning to the pitch as a player next season.“Already a Shareholder, this announcement reaffirms Andy’s commitment to the Daggers’ revival. There’s a real hunger around the club heading into the new season, and I’m looking forward to helping build something everyone can be proud of.”On the appointment, Lee Allinson stated: “Andy’s experience, leadership qualities and passion for the club made him the perfect choice for this role.

He’s someone the players respect enormously, and I’m delighted to have him alongside me.”Andy Carroll stepped into the dugout for the final seven games of the National League South season.
