Both players are set to leave Liverpool on free transfers this summer after highly successful spells at the club.“I’m going to miss them a lot,” Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk told club media. I wish them well and want the best for them.”Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017 for £8m, going on to win two Premier League titles and the Champions League during his time at Anfield.“His talent, his quality on the pitch, his assists and his work rate; it’s the complete package of a modern day left-back,” said Van Dijk.“Off the pitch – the way he is as a person, always up for a joke – he sets the standards in training and in games, and is just a great character to be around.“It’s been an absolute privilege and pleasure to play with him on my left side and it’s an incredible journey that he had.”Andy Robertson was a target for Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window, with a deal reportedly agreed in principle between the clubs.
