Liverpool fitness coach Ruben Peeter has confirmed his departure from the club. Peeters was a key figure in Arne Slot’s backroom staff at Anfield, having previously worked under him at Feyenoord, and part of the Premier League title-winning side.

But the 34-year-old is among a number of coaching members brought in by Slot to leave in the wake of the head coach’s surprise sacking on Saturday afternoon. “After two unforgettable seasons at Liverpool FC, it is time to say goodbye,” Peeters wrote on LinkedIn.
